Re: how do I auto start a guest vm?

1. bring up vSpere client and click on the ESXi host machine in browse window.

2. Click on the "Configuration" tab for that host.

3. Look for the blue text "Properites" in upper right hand corner of that tab window. Click to open the "Virtual Machine Startup and Shutdown" box.

4. Check the box next to the text "Continue immediately if the VMware Tools start"

5. Hit the "OK" button to close the "Virtual Machine Startup and Shutdown" box..

6. Open properties box again.

7. Move the client VM up under the "Automatic Startup" catagory by clicking of client name and then clicking the "Move Up" button until that client is under the "Automatic Startup" catagory.

8. Hit ok to close the "Virtual Machine Startup and Shutdown" box.
