Hi, student of ESXi. Having a little issue with a home server lab.
CPU: Celeron G530
Mobo: ASUS P8H61-M LE using onboard Realtek 811E Gigabit NIC
Had Hyper-V setup running 4 VMs flawlessly on same hardware.
ESXi Installs fine, basic configuration works fine, but after a couple minutes connection drops out an only a restart will bring it back online.
Initially after boot, can ping ESXi host, can ping from ESXi host, can connect via vSphere Client, can connect to HTTP front-end, but then after a short time connection loss and pings fail. Its as if the NIC switches off. Have tried a second NIC and same thing happens.
Have read up and NIC, mobo and CPU work fine for others.
Have looked at logs but nothing seems to jump out, quite possible I am missing something though.
Any suggestions appreciated, thanks.
Jason
